Terms of Service
Last updated: April 2026
Welcome to BandSlate. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the BandSlate platform at bandslate.com ("Service"), operated by BandSlate ("we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using BandSlate, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you are using BandSlate on behalf of a band or organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
2. Description of Service
BandSlate is a band management SaaS platform that helps bands and musicians manage gigs, members, venues, setlists, contracts, payments, and more. The Service includes AI-powered features for content generation, calendar integrations, and collaboration tools for band organizations.
3. Accounts
You must provide a valid email address and create a password to use BandSlate. You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. One person may belong to multiple organizations (bands), and each organization is billed separately.
Organization owners and managers can invite band members. Invited members create their own accounts and join the organization for free — billing is per-organization, not per-member.
4. Subscriptions & Billing
Plans
BandSlate offers four subscription tiers:
- Jam (Free) — basic band management with limited features
- Opener ($9/month or $84/year) — for solo artists and duos
- Headliner ($19/month or $180/year) — for active gigging bands
- Tour Bus ($39/month or $348/year) — for professionals and multi-band managers
AI Credits
AI-powered features (social media generation, contract drafting, setlist building, band bios, gig briefings) consume credits. Some AI features are free (chord charts, venue auto-fill, dashboard insights). Paid features cost 1-2 credits per use. Credits can be purchased in packs and do not expire. Monthly subscription credits expire at the end of each billing period.
Payment
All payments are processed by Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled. You can manage your subscription through the Stripe Customer Portal accessible from Settings. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis — contact us if you have a billing issue.
5. AI-Generated Content
BandSlate uses artificial intelligence to generate content including social media posts, images, contract drafts, setlists, band biographies, gig briefings, and marketing emails. Important things to understand:
- AI-generated content is provided as a starting point — always review and edit before publishing or sending
- AI-generated contract text is not legal advice -- consult a lawyer for legally binding agreements
- AI-generated images may not perfectly reflect your band or venue — review before posting
- We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or appropriateness of any AI-generated content
- You are responsible for all content you publish or send, whether AI-generated or not
- Do not use AI features to generate content that is harmful, misleading, or violates the rights of others
6. Content Ownership
Your Content
You retain ownership of all content you upload or create on BandSlate, including gig details, setlists, songs, photos, recordings, and contracts. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content as needed to provide the Service.
AI-Generated Content
Content generated by AI features using your data belongs to you. You may use it for any lawful purpose. We do not claim ownership of AI-generated content created through your use of the Service.
BandSlate Intellectual Property
The BandSlate platform, including its design, code, branding, and documentation, is owned by BandSlate. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the Service without our written permission.

BandSlate integrates with Spotify, Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, and Stripe. Your use of these integrations is subject to each provider's terms of service. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or policies of third-party services. You can disconnect integrations at any time from Settings.
9. Contract Templates
BandSlate provides performance contract templates and AI-assisted contract drafting as a convenience feature. These are not legal documents and do not constitute legal advice. Contract templates are general-purpose starting points that may not comply with your local laws or cover your specific situation. We strongly recommend having any contract reviewed by a qualified attorney before use.
10. Termination
You can delete your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
