A systems engineer who spent 16 years in the scene
BandSlate applies enterprise-grade orchestration to the music industry — built by someone who watched bands duct-tape their operations together every weekend for over a decade.
Why BandSlate exists
Sixteen years ago I started a music podcast, interviewing two to three bands a week. It became a masterclass in how bands operate — and how they struggle. Whether a band was playing a basement or a regional festival, they were all fighting the same organizational chaos.
Meanwhile, my career in systems and infrastructure engineering was taking off — working with companies like Figma and Headway, orchestrating complex data systems at scale. The contrast was stark: in the tech world, everything was automated and streamlined. In the music world, everything was manual, fragmented, and stressful.
The idea crystallized when I started helping a country artist manage live performance logistics. There was no central backbone. Every gig required duct-taping together different apps, text threads, and spreadsheets. The music industry didn't need another scheduling app — it needed an IT orchestration layer. BandSlate is that layer.
What makes BandSlate different
Built from inside the scene
Not a VC-backed team guessing what bands need. BandSlate was built by a systems engineer with 16 years in the local music world who saw the problem firsthand.
AI-first approach
14 AI features that no competitor offers: auto-fill venue details, draft contracts, generate gig briefings, build setlists by energy flow, create social media content, and more.
Modern tech, modern design
Built on Next.js, Supabase, and Vercel — not a legacy PHP app with a fresh coat of paint. Dark-mode first, mobile-responsive, and fast.

Our values
The principles behind every decision at BandSlate
Musicians First
Every feature exists because a real band needed it. Not because a product manager guessed it would look good on a slide deck.
Simple & Beautiful
Band management software doesn't have to look like it was built in 2013. Dense, fast, and intentional — like the tools we admire.
Honest & Transparent
No inflated numbers. No vaporware. What you see is what we've actually built and shipped, and we push improvements every week.
AI That Actually Helps
14 AI-powered tools that save you real time — from auto-filling venue details to drafting contracts. Not AI for the sake of a buzzword.
